Strawberry Preserves: No Pectin

Strawberry Preserves

Ingredients:

9 cups of washed and hulled strawberries
4 ½ cups of sugar

From The Silver Spoon

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan large enough so it fills up only half or less of the pot. 

Over medium heat, bring to a boil, stirring continuously. 

When the mixture starts to boil, increase the heat and cook, stirring for 20-25 minutes. 

Remove from heat, ladle into jars while hot and seal. Store in a cool, dry place.
