Fig Jam
Ingredients:
2 cups figs
1 cup sugar
Directions:
Rough chop figs that have been washed and destemmed.
Place in a small pot with sugar and turn the heat to low. Stir to dissolve the sugar. Allow the fruit to cook until there are juices running.
Turn the heat to medium low and cook until jam like consistency when all the figs are tender and the mixture is thickened and a darker color.
Store in a jar in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
