Resilient Larder Floral Syrup - Wild Strawberry & Rose

Floral Syrup Recipe from The Resilient Larder

Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1/2 cup rose petals*
Up to 1/2 cup of wild strawberries

Directions:

Add water, sugar, and strawberries to saucepan and keep stirring until the sugar dissolves so that the sugar does not stick to pan while you bring the syrup mixture to a boil.

One the mixture comes to a boil, turn down to simmering.

Let simmer for 10 minutes.

Add rose petals and turn off heat.

Let the mixture sit for 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.

Strain the syrup and bottle or keep in a jar.
